Josh Mumper, CFP®

Josh Mumper is an Associate Planner at Socha Capital, where he supports high-net-worth business owners and their families through detailed, forward-thinking financial planning. Working alongside the firm’s Lead Planners, he helps analyze client goals, design custom strategies, and coordinate execution across investments, tax, retirement, estate, and insurance planning.


Josh brings a strong financial foundation and operations mindset to his role. Prior to Socha Capital, he worked at a California-based registered investment advisor, where he led client relationships within the firm’s retirement plan practice and served as a support planner to business owners. In that role, he worked directly on tax planning, investment strategy, and cash flow analysis. He also contributed to building internal systems, developing standard operating procedures, and streamlining processes technology to improve team efficiency and service delivery. 


He began his career in public accounting and later supported finance and operations at his family’s small business, where he gained firsthand insight into the unique challenges entrepreneurs face. Known for his ownership mentality and problem-solving approach, Josh focuses on breaking down complex issues and turning them into clear, practical strategies. 


He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and provides fiduciary advice grounded in accuracy, transparency, and impact. 


Josh lives in Santa Clarita, California with his wife, Ena. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, basketball, beach days, staying involved in his local church, and volunteering in the business community.
